Frequently asked billing questions
How does the 7-day free trial work?
When you choose Starter, Pro, or Enterprise, Shopify initiates a 7-day trial. You will not be billed until the trial period completes. You can cancel at any time from your Shopify admin before the trial ends without being charged.
How am I billed?
All charges are processed directly by Shopify through the Shopify App Billing API and appear on your regular monthly or annual Shopify invoice. Kepvia never asks for or stores credit card numbers.
What happens if I exceed my plan’s product count?
If your store grows beyond your plan’s item limit (e.g. over 150 items on Starter), your existing backups remain completely safe and accessible. Kepvia will notify you in your admin to upgrade to the next tier before new items are captured.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. You can switch between monthly and annual plans at any point. Shopify automatically prorates the remaining balance of your existing cycle and credits it toward the new plan.
What happens to my data if I uninstall Kepvia?
Uninstalling halts new captures immediately. Your existing backup versions remain stored safely for your plan’s retention window so a reinstallation can recover them. You can also download a standalone ZIP archive of your store at any time before uninstalling.
Do I get a discount for multiple stores?
Each Shopify store requires its own app installation and billing plan because data is isolated per shop. If you manage 5 or more stores as an agency or enterprise brand, reach out to our team at support@kepvia.com for custom volume arrangements.
