Refund Policy
Last updated 2 September 2026
How trials, cancellations and refunds work for Kepvia subscriptions. Because billing runs through Shopify, some of this is governed by Shopify’s process as well as ours.
1. Free trial
Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and there is a free plan that never charges at all. Nothing is billed during the trial, and you can cancel at any point before it ends without paying anything. The trial exists so you can confirm that Kepvia captures what your store needs before you commit — we would rather you used it than asked for a refund later.
2. Cancelling
You can cancel whenever you like by uninstalling Kepvia from your Shopify admin, or by switching to the free plan inside the app. Cancelling stops all future charges.
Your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and cancelling does not generate a partial refund for the unused remainder of that period.
Uninstalling stops new backups. Existing backups are kept for the history window of your plan so a reinstall can recover them, then deleted — so if you want to keep a copy permanently, export an archive before you uninstall.
3. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun. Because the trial lets you evaluate the app in full beforehand, we do not routinely refund a period you have used.
That said, we will normally issue a refund where:
- you were charged after cancelling, or charged twice for the same billing period;
- a fault on our side prevented the Service from working for a material part of the billing period, and we could not fix it;
- you were charged for a plan you did not select, or an upgrade you did not authorise.
Outside those situations, refunds are at our discretion and decided case by case. Granting one does not oblige us to grant another.
Where you have statutory cancellation or refund rights under consumer law in your country, this policy does not limit them.
4. How refunds are paid
Kepvia is billed through Shopify, so approved refunds are issued through Shopify against the original charge and returned to your original payment method. Once approved, the credit typically appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
5. Requesting a refund
Email support@kepvia.com from the address on your Shopify account and tell us:
- your myshopify store domain;
- the charge in question — the date and amount;
- what went wrong.
We reply within 7 business days. Please raise it within 60 days of the charge, so the billing records are still available on both sides.
If the problem is technical rather than financial, contact us anyway — most refund requests turn out to be something we can fix, often the same day.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force is the one published here on the date of your charge. This policy sits under our Terms of Service, which govern the subscription itself.
